Historical Plan

In this plan, the Old Testament readings follow the order of the Hebrew Bible — Law, then Prophets, then Writings — much as they would have been read in ancient Israel. The New Testament order follows research on the sequence in which its books were written; the conclusions aren't final, but they can offer a different angle on the reading. One reading a day covers the whole Bible in a year. Compiled by Blue Letter Bible.

Robert Roberts' Plan

Robert Roberts (1839–1898) compiled this plan around 1853; it was later published as the book "The Bible Companion." Three readings a day, 15–20 minutes (about four chapters on average): over a year, the Old Testament is read once and the New Testament twice.

The Bible in 52 Weeks

Michael Coley published this plan on Bible-Reading.com in the 1990s. Each day of the week covers a different part of the Bible: Monday — the Pentateuch, Tuesday — Historical Books, Wednesday — Psalms, Thursday — Wisdom Books, Friday — Prophetic Books, Saturday — Gospels and Acts, Sunday — Epistles. Over 52 weeks, the whole Bible is read once.
